Meet Our Founder

Hello, I am Nicole Robbins, founder of Harvest 4 Pink. I am a fellow Breast Cancer Warrior going through my cancer journey. The idea for Harvest 4 Pink came out of a need to help others in their journey as well as give those who wanted to help me a role or job. I love the quote, “the best way to help yourself is to put your arm around someone who needs it more”. I needed a focus, somewhere to direct my energy as I was no longer in the classroom helping children. Creating the Ta-Ta Totes gave me a crafting outlet and a way to support others. We still joke about “the binder” that the Cancer Center gave me at the beginning of our Breast Cancer Journey. I am a teacher and love binders, however that does not provide comfort to most. The Ta-Ta Tote is meant to bring that comfort and to let you know you are not alone in this fight. I value the fight you and your family are going through!

How We Started

The name Harvest 4 Pink came from my family's love of Fall and growing things. The definition of harvest is the process of gathering, a time of celebration, to give thanks, blessings to others, reaping of joy in what was produced. I wanted to bring joy to someone in their darkest hour. I wanted others to know their fight and accomplishments should be celebrated. I felt blessed for the amazing care, doctors, nurses, and treatment I received even though it nearly killed me. I wanted to celebrate women like me who went to battle, a battle against this cancer that wanted to take us from our family. Pink is now my Power color as I continue to fight for myself and others. I am stronger than cancer and so are you!  My husband and I gave out 36 Ta-Ta Totes in 2023 while I was still undergoing active treatment for Stage 3 Inflammatory Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I too went to battle with 5 months of chemo, a bilateral mastectomy, 25 sessions of radiation, 12 treatments of immunotherapy infusions, reconstruction, and continue to fight off recurrence and the side effects of my cancer treatment.

Creating Harvest 4 Pink means we will be able to support and give out even more Ta-Totes in 2024 and the years to come. I am joined by a fabulous board of women who supported me.

Our mission for Harvest 4 Pink is to gather, grow, and create to support Breast Cancer Warriors in their cancer journey. We will gather supporters and our community together to raise awareness and create more items for our Ta-Ta Totes. I have always loved gardening and watching things grow. I found the garden to be a very therapeutic place during my treatment. I also love the smile you get when you give something that is hand-made. We will grow things in our garden to support our fundraising efforts. These creative outlets will bring people together for a common goal.

I am so blessed to have so many supporters for Team Nikki in my cancer fight. We hope our Non-Profit Harvest 4 Pink will help bring awareness to Breast Cancer and help fund more Ta-Ta Totes to my fellow Breast Cancer Warriors. If you know someone who needs some support or a Ta-Ta Tote please reach out. If you would like to donate and help other Breast Cancer Warriors please contact us or click the Donate button.
